Normal life resumes in far west (news update)
Normal life has resumed in the far-western region after heavy snowfall over the last two days.
The snowfall has affected the normal life of people in Doti, Dadeldhura, Baitadi and Darchula districts.
Talking to Nepalnews on Sunday, assistant Chief District Officer of Dadeldhura district, Pashupati Nath Sharma, informed that normal life has resumed after the snow melted in the area. He added that the vehicles stranded in the roads have started to ply.
According to locals this is the biggest snowfall in last forty years.
Temperature has drastically dropped on Saturday due to the snowfall. A snowfall of up to two feet was measured at the Doti district headquarters at 2 pm on Friday.
However, electricity supply in Dadeldhura, Baitadi and Doti districts that remained disrupted following the heavy snowfall is yet to resume. nepalnews.com pb Dec 25 05
