Government to tighten measures of sending labourers abroad
State Minister for Labour and Transport Management, Rabindra Khanal, has said that the government will tighten the process of sending labourers to check the irregularities of some manpower agencies.
Speaking at an interaction in the capital on Sunday, state minister Khanal said that negligence of some of the manpower companies has defamed the country in the international arena.
He informed that the Nepalese citizens stranded in Kuwait on their way to Iraq for employment will return to Nepal unharmed in a few days, adding, “Some of them have returned home and that the government has been engaged in fulfilling the processes for the rest of them.”
Stating that there are various evils and aberrations in the field of foreign employment, he said the government is preparing to bring about special programmes to wipe out the evils and aberrations seen in foreign employment.
Khanal further said that some foreign employment companies have been acting with undue backing of some elites of the society and that he would not lag behind in taking action on such companies that defame the country and the people. nepalnews.com pb Dec 26 05
