FSU election on February 28
The office of the Vice-Chancellor of the Tribhuvan University (TU) has said that TU has decided to hold the election of Free Students’ Union (FSU) in all TU affiliated colleges on February 28 next year.
The date was announced following a meeting of TU rector Dr Mahendra Singh, registrar Gita Bhakta Joshi and representatives of eight student unions in the capital Wednesday.
The TU has 60 colleges under it in which 123 thousand students are studying.
The student unions affiliated to seven political parties have said that they will concentrate in the FSU election as part of their protest against autocracy.
Leaders informed that they will shortly hold the central committee meetings of the organizations to decide future strategies for the FSU elections.
