Pregnant woman forced into training dies: RNA
The Royal Nepalese Army (RNA) has said a woman, who was four months pregnant, has died while undergoing militia training organized by the Maoist rebels early this week.
A statement issued by the Directorate of Public Relations of the RNA on Thursday said a woman, resident of Chatara VDC-4 in the far-western district of Bajura, was forced by the insurgents to undergo militia training to use weapons. She died while undergoing training on Sunday.
The statement, however, did not provide name of the deceased woman.
The rebels are yet to comment on the issue.
Meanwhile, an 11-year-old girl was injured when the insurgents exploded a bomb in Rukumkot area in Rukum district on Monday. The injured child, Kiran KC, was airlifted by the RNA from the incident cite to the district headquarter Salle for treatment, the RNA said. nepalnews.com by Dec 29 05
