18 students injured in clash at Balmiki Bidhyapeeth
At least 18 students of Balmiki Bidhyapeeth were injured when police fired tear gas shells into a class room where students were taking refuge following a clash with police.
The injured students were taken to the Kathmandu Model Hospital for treatment.
The clash between the police and students occurred when police arrested three student leaders, Bam Dev Adhikari Pradeep Marasaini and Saroj Khanal from the campus premises before the planned meeting of Mahendra
Sanskriti University, the only Sanskrit University of the country, to resolve the standoff between the campus administration and the students.
Then after, students and police exchanged bricks and stones for some time.
