Their Majesties visit Myagdi, Palpa
His Majesty King Gyanendra and
Her Majesty Queen Komal visited Myagdi’s Galeshwor and Tansen
of Palpa district Saturday.
In Galeshwor, four kilometres northwest of Beni
Bazaar, the district headquarter of Myagdi, Their Majesties were
welcomed by thousands of local people and senior government officials
of Maygdi, Baglung and Parbat district this afternoon. The royal
couple performed puja at the famous Galeshwor Temple, reports from
Myadgi said.
During a collective audience with the King, senior
security officers based in Myagdi and local civil society personalities
had apprised the King about the security situation in the district.
After Myagdi, Their Majesties went to Tansen, Palpa
district, where they worshiped at the Ranaujeshwori Temple. Huge
number of local people and government officials had gathered there
to welcome the royal couple, reports said.
From there, the royals flew back to Pokhara where
