Agitation to restore complete democracy: Khanal
CPN-UML leader Jhal Nath Khanal has said that the ongoing agitation of the seven political parties would be a decisive one for the restoration of the complete democracy in the country, reports said.
Speaking at an interaction in America on October 2 organized by Nepalese Democratic Forum in America, Khanal urged all Nepalese residing outside the country to express solidarity to the agitation of the political parties, adding, “After the success of the agitation, Nepalese people need not fight with the King for the sake of democracy.”
He claimed that there were many positive works during 12 years of restoration of the democracy despite some weaknesses.
Another CPN-UML leader Ashok Rai said that though some leaders were indulged in corruption during the time all should not be labeled in the same category.
Former Chairman of Nepal Student Union Bishwo Prakash Sharma said that the agitation could not get popular support as the political parties failed to clear their agendas. nepalnews.com pb Nov 06 05
