The price of gold goes up
The price of precious yellow metal has touched a record of Rs 11,575 per ten gram on Thursday, according to reports.
The price of gold (for ten gram), however, came down slightly to Rs 11,525 Thursday evening.
According to chairman of Nepal Gold and Silver Merchants’ Association, Tejratna Shakya, price of gold has hit the highest mark in the last 18 years. “It is beyond imagination,” Kantipur daily quoted Shakya as saying.
The price of gold in the international market stood at USD 482 per ounce Thursday, up from USD 471 a day before.
Analysts said though there was seen stability in the prices of oil in the international market, rising price of US currency against other currencies have had impact on the price of gold. nepalnews.com by Nov 18 05
