CIAA arrests bank manager from Doti

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested the then manager of Rastriya Banijya Bank, Doti branch, Kailash Shrestha from his residence in Doti in the charge of misappropriating nearly 4.1 million rupees while in office.

According to reports he has been brought to Kathmandu for investigation of the alleged irregularities.

The CIAA informed that he was arrested as preliminary studies found that he took the amount and used it personally. The CIAA said it is also investigating other charges of financial irregularities committed by Shrestha.

The Special Court in Kathmandu on Monday permitted CIAA to detain him for 30 days for further interrogation.
