Court orders Radio Sagarmatha to resume transmission

The Supreme Court on Tuesday has ordered the government not to undertake any activities to disrupt the transmission of Radio Sagarmatha pending final verdict.

A single bench comprising Justice Badri Kumar Basnet handed out the verdict in response to a writ petition filed by Radio Sagarmatha.

The government had raided the radio station, seized equipment and arrested 5 journalists late Sunday. The journalists were released later.
