Minister warns of action against bureaucrats

A junior Minister of the incumbent government has threatened to take action against some bureaucrats calling them incompetent after they failed to be present at a program attended by him, reports said.

According to reports Assistant Minister for Labor and Transport Management Golchhe Sarki warned to fire some heads of the security authorities and administrators of the western district of Nepalgunj saying they were not sincere towards their duties.

Minister Sarki expressed rage over the bureaucrats as the program was not attended by the Chief District Officer, Police Officers and Chairman of the District Development Committee.

Sarki said that he has been receiving complaints that the officials are not working as per the people's wish. "If responsible officials do not respect people's sentiment, they should be punished," Kantipur Daily quoted Minister Sharki as saying.

The royal appointed Minister urged journalists to write if the bureaucrats are not working in favor of people so that the Ministry will take action against such officials. nepalnews.com pb Oct 29 05
