Government prohibits Deusi, Bhailo after 8.00 p.m.
The government has prohibited people of the Kathmandu Valley from organising Deusi and Bhailo, the traditional musical programmes usually held at night, after 8.00 p.m. during the Tihar festival.
Issuing a notice, the Home Ministry strictly prohibited any group entertainment including Bhailo, Deusi after 8 p.m. during the Deepawali festival from November 1 to 5 in Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur.
The notice said, "The decision has been taken to maintain law and order in the valley as well as to protect life and property on the occasion."
The government has also banned people from playing with fireworks during Tihar, to prevent accidents and avoid bad impact on public health.
