Maoists abduct over 2000 civilians in
Achham
Notwithstanding their three-month-long unilateral truce in place,
the Maoists have abducted over 2000 people including students
and teachers in the far-western district of Achham in the last
few days.
Reports coming in say the insurgents have intensified their abduction
campaign in the district since the last five says during which
they have marched over 2000 civilians to unknown locations.
Those abducted include hundreds of students and teachers of nearly
three-dozen schools in various parts of the district.
There has been no word from the rebel leadership over the reports
