Maoists killed unarmed security man in Dailekh: RNA
Maoists have killed an unarmed army man working in Dailekh district, according to the Royal Nepalese Army (RNA).
A statement issued by the RNA’s Directorate of Public Relation (DPR) Tuesday said the Maoists killed an army jawan who was on leave. His body was found during a search operation on Monday. DPR gave no details of the incident.
The killing comes despite the three-month-long ceasefire declared by Maoist chieftain Prachanda early this month.
Meanwhile, two civilians were injured in a firing between the Maoists in Malaurba area of Banke district on Sunday. Nasip Khan and Mustakim Khan were severely injured when the Maoists indiscriminately opened fire against each other in the middle of dispute over properties looted from various places, the DPR added.
The injured persons have been undergoing treatment at Bheri Zonal Hospital. nepalnews.com mk Sept 27 05
