SLC exam concludes
This year's School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examinations concluded on Wednesday.
A total of 332,181 students including 260,047 regular students and 72,134 from the exempted group appeared in the exams.
Held largely in a peaceful manner, the exams were not free from controversy though.
During the exams there were rumors about leakage of question papers of Science, Optional Maths, and Population and Environment, which had forced the Office of Controller of Examinations (OCE) to request the Ministry of Education and Sports to probe into the alleged leakage.
More than 50 invigilators were suspended for acting against the exam norms.
Despite their earlier commitment not to create obstacle in exams, Maoists had bombed an exam center at Sarswoti Higher Secondary School in Dailekh. Some students were injured and the exam was stalled and rescheduled for Friday.
The OCE informed that the SLC results will be published within the next ten weeks from the day the exams conclude. nepalnews.com pb Apr 06 06
