UAE to provide more employment opportunities to Nepalis
The government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has agreed to provide more employment opportunities to the Nepali nationals.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) on Saturday said the agreement was reached during meetings between Foreign Minister Ramesh Nath Pandey, who is currently in Abu Dhabi, and senior government officials of the UAE.
“The government of UAE has agreed to provide more employment opportunities to the Nepalese nationals in all categories, including security personnel and professionals,” a MoFA release stated.
The UAE has also agreed to favorably consider Nepal’s investment requirements, particularly in the field of hydropower development as well as to examine the possibility of establishing a Special Economic Zone in Nepal, it added.
FM Pandey met with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyanin Abu Dhabi on Saturday.
Both sides held detailed discussions on various aspects of bilateral relations as well as matters of regional and global concerns and agreed to further strengthen bilateral relations by expanding areas of cooperation to their mutual interests, according to the MoFA.
“In view of growing relationship between the two countries, both sides have agreed to hold regular consultations on the entire gamut of bilateral relations by institutionalizing a consultation mechanism at the level of Foreign Ministry,” the statement said.
