Petro prices will be adjusted: PM Koirala
Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala has hinted at some adjustment in the prices of the petroleum products.
Talking to party cadres in Biratnagar on Sunday morning, Prime Minister said that the price will be adjusted after holding discussion with the ruling seven party alliance.
Commenting on the political situation of the country, Koirala said that the borderline for the election of the constituent assembly is the ceremonial King.
“We agreed to accept a ceremonial King. The King will be like Lord Pashupatinath, who do not have any role in state affairs,” Koirala added.
He further said that the parliament has accepted a ceremonial role for the King during the historic proclamation of the country.
Koirala’s statement for providing some space to the King in new democracy has received widespread criticism.
On the unity between two Nepali Congresses, Koirala, who is also the chairman of NC said, the party would be united within six months and that he would handover the post of party president by holding a general convention within six months after party unification.
Prime Minister Koirala returned to the capital today after a weeklong visit to his hometown Biratnagar.
Prime Minister Koirala, who also holds the portfolio of Defense Ministry, is scheduled to answer the queries of lawmakers today at the parliament regarding his ministry. nepalnews.com pb Aug 20 06
