SSB evicted from Nepali territory
Security personnel of Seema Suraksha Bal (Border Security Force), an Indian paramilitary force deployed along Nepal-India border, left Nirmal Basti village development committee in Parsa district, Saturday.
They had been staying in the area after making temporary camps in Nepali territory since Thursday.
After the SSB men set up camp 200 meters inside Nepali territory, protesting locals, who even staged a sit in, demanded they leave Nepal.
The Indian security men left only after a meeting of locals, authorities and Maoists pressed them to vacate the place, reports said.
The SSB men even misbehaved with locals and ordered them to do clean up activities around their newly set up camps, reports said. nepalnews.com pb Dec 17 06
