China Southern airlines set to start flights to Nepal
China Southern Airlines, one of the largest Chinese Airlines, is to start direct flights between Kathmandu and Gunghobu, a major trading hub of China from January 19.
The Chinese airline has become the fourth international airline to connect Nepal in less than four months.
The airline had received permission from Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation to operate four direct flights a week in the route.
Three airlines GMG Bangladesh, Air Arabia and Korean Air recently scheduled flights to Nepal.
Operation of new airlines is expected to help tackle air-seats crunch for Nepal and to boost Nepali tourism industry.
