Maoists release 20 people after 11 month long captivity

Maoists release 20 people from Barchen area of Doti district of Far West after 11-months long captivity.

Those released include 18 security personnel including four women. .

They were released in presence of human rights activists and social workers.

Kantipur daily quoted regional in charge of the Maoists, Parasmani, as saying that they were released as per the party policy to free all detainees.

He informed that seven people abducted by Maoists were released from Accham and three from Dadeldhura and also assured to release all people remained in their captivity. nepalnews.com pb Feb 22 06
