Yeti Airlines plane makes ‘heavy-landing’ at Bajura airfield

A Yeti Airlines plane bound for Kolti of the far-western district of Bajura district, made ‘heavy landing’ at Kolti Airport Monday afternoon.

The aircraft carrying food supplies from Nepalgunj had to make ‘heavy-landing’ because of crosswind, an official with Yeti Airlines' head office in Kathmandu told Nepalnews, denying reports that it was a crash-landing and the crew members – a captain, co-pilot and airhostess – sustained minor injuries.

“Nepalgunj officials have informed us that no crew members were injured,” he said and informed that a helicopter carrying the airlines officials to study the incident is yet to reach Kolti airport.

A Yeti airlines Twin Otter had crashed on June 21 in Jumla killing all nine persons – three crew members and six passengers - on board. nepalnews.com mk July 03 06
