Koirala taken ill; admitted at Gangalal Heart Centre
Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala was admitted at Gangalal National Heart Centre of Kathmandu after he suddenly became ill on Monday evening.
He was taken to the centre at around 10 p.m. on Monday evening by a team led by his personal physician Dr Madhu Ghimire.
Koirala was undergoing treatment at Intensive Care Unit of the Centre.
Koirala recently returned from Bangkok after undergoing treatment there.
The octogenarian leader was suffering from urine-related complications for quite some time had undergone a successful operation of prostrate gland, through laser, at Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok.
