PSC not cooperative to Government: State Minister
Minister of State for General Administration Dharma Nath Shah has criticised the Public Service Commission (PSC) for not supporting the government.
Addressing a programme at the Reporters’ Club, Shah said the PSC has been stalling the appointment of secretaries.
According to him, the PSC ignored a meeting he had called to discuss the promotion of officials on June 29.
He however said that the government will fill the vacant posts of secretaries within a week by designating acting secretaries. He said that the government will designate acting secretaries in the vacant posts as it is impossible to appoint secretaries before mid October.
Shah also informed that the government is sending an official from the civil service shortly to monitor the Palace service.
On the issue of employees of Royal Palace, Shah said, “We have to wait for the report of the committee headed by a secretary at the office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.”
The government on Monday formed a committee to advise the government on how to make the Royal Palace service a part of civil service as mentioned in the May 18 declaration of the parliament. nepalnews.com pb July 20 06
