One dead, 28 injured in road accident

A truck driver died and 28 passengers were injured when a truck collided with a bus at Dumkibas area of Nawalparasi district Tuesday morning.

According to reports, a truck with registration number Na 2 Kha 5110 heading towards Butwal from Narayangarh collided with a passenger bus plated Na 2 Kha 1545 bound for Pokhara from Mahendranagar.

The deceased truck driver has been identified as Pitambar Chaudhari of Motipur village development committee of Dang.

Among the 28, seven passengers were seriously injured. Five are undergoing treatment at Bharatpur Hospital and two at Butwal Hospital.
