In yet another major incident of robbery within two days, a group of robbers looted properties worth Rs 2.5 million from a house in Santinagar, Kathmandu, Tuesday morning.

A gang of about 10 robbers who were carrying knives barged into the house of Nim Pasang, an export-import businessman, and got away with Rs. 400,000 and valuables amounting nearly Rs.2.5 million, police officials at the New Baneshwor Ward Police informed.

Quoting Pasang, police said the robbers barged into the house from the main gate early morning, took the family members under control showing knives and got away with the cash and other properties including jewelry. Pasang, his wife, two daughters and a domestic help were there in the house when the robbery took place.

Nobody has been arrested yet in connection with the robbery but police said manhunt has been launched to track down the looters.
