Three killed in road mishap

At least three persons were killed and eight others were injured when a jeep met with an accident on the Mechi Highway in Ilam district Sunday.

The jeep which was heading for Teenghare from Laxmipur, Ilam district, skidded off the road and plunged into a ravine, killing three persons on the spot, reports said.

Those killed in the accident have been identified as Niramala Rai, 25, Parwati Acharya, 30, and Dipeshwori Acharya, 64. All three were residents of Laxmipur.

Eight injured passengers have been admitted at Kanchanjungha Hospital in Jhapa. nepalnews.com mk Nov 05 06
