Temporary teachers end strike
The more than four months long agitation of temporary school teachers ended from Friday after the Education Ministry agreed to fulfill their demands.
Following discussions between the agitating teachers and the government in presence of leaders of eight political parties, both the sides reached a six-point agreement including providing them permanent status after fulfilling certain procedures.
17 thousand temporary teachers of the country will get a permanent status with this development.
Chairman of the temporary teachers protest committee Nirendra Kunwar said all the temporary teachers will return to teaching now.
