Seven killed, over 70 injured in Dadeldhura bus accident

At least seven passengers were killed and 73 others were injured, ten of them critically, when a packed bus skidded off the road and plunged into a gorge at Khushrekhan area of Amargadhi Municipality in Dadeldhura district Saturday afternoon.

Reports coming in say the Na-2-Kha 1071 bus of Mahakali Yatayat en route to Mahendranagar from Baitadi fell some 40 metres down the road at around 3:00 p.m., killing seven persons on the spot.

The bus, which was carrying passengers more than its capacity, lost balance and skilled off the road.

Those injured in the accident have been undergoing treatment at Tim Hospital in Dadeldhura. nepalnews.com mk Oct 07 06
