Nepal meets with PM Koirala, talks about summit meeting agenda

The Unified Marxist Leninist (UML) general secretary Madhav Kumar Nepal has met with Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala this evening at Baluwatar.

His meeting has assumed significance as it comes amid efforts to schedule next summit meeting with the Maoists.
Reports say Nepal and PM Koirala talked about possible agenda of the next summit meeting. They particularly discussed about putting forth a unified stance of Seven Party Alliance (SPA). But the next date of the summit meeting has not been finalized, according to reports.
Currently, there are different viewpoints on the issue of status of monarchy even among seven parties. While the NC wants it settled through Constituent Assembly, UML has been favoring holding referendum. nepalnews.com sd Oct 19 06
