Summit meeting will be held by Sunday, says PM Koirala
Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala has said that the next round of summit meeting between top leaders of Seven Party Alliance (SPA) and the Maoists will be held either on Saturday or Sunday.
Talking to journalists and party workers in his hometown of Biratnagar on Friday morning, PM Koirala said that he will return to Kathmandu on Saturday. "The summit meeting will be held either on Saturday itself or on Sunday," he told reporters.
He said he will discuss with leaders of Maoists and Unified Marxist Leninist (UML) to fix the summit meeting.
General Secretary of UML Madhav Kumar Nepal had urged PM Koirala to hold the summit meeting by Sunday.
Meanwhile, PM Koirala reiterated that his party will not join any republican front. He said the SPA itself was a democratic front and there was no need for another front.
PM Koirala said full inclusion of minorities and excluded groups will be guaranteed through the Constituent Assembly after peace and stability is restored in the country. nepalnews.com sd Oct 27 06
