Maoists to give continuity to ceasefire

As their ceasefire is set to expire on Sunday, the Maoists have said that the truce will be 'automatically continued' since the peace process is moving forward.

Maoist leader and a member of its talks team Dev Gurung said that since peace talks with the seven parties are moving ahead, the ceasefire would be "automatically extended."

Earlier, on July 28, the Maoists had extended their three-month-old ceasefire by another three months – till October 29.

The Maoists had first announced three-monthly ceasefire after the success of April movement. nepalnews.com sd Oct 29 06
