Nine members elected in NPI
Nepal Press Institute (NPI) on Saturday elected nine members in its working committee for a three-year term.
According to a press release issued by the NPI, Gokul Pokharel, Shova Gautam, Dr Piyush Raj Mishra, Hem Raj Gyawali, Suresh Acharya, Mahesh Prasad Adhikari, Kedar Sharma, Lal Deusa Rai and Nila Kantha Upreti have been elected as members of the newly formed body.
As per the NPI statute, the 15-member committee includes three members from its regional offices, two nominated members and the immediate past president of the NPI, apart from these nine members.
According to the release, NPI awarded Community Radio Solu with the Gopal Das Community Journalism Award this year. The award carries a purse of Rs 15,000 and a citation. nepalnews.com pb Sep 10 06
