Indian Airlines resuming Kathmandu-Varanasi-Kathmandu flights

Indian Airlines is resuming its Kathmandu-Varanasi-Kathmandu flight effective from September 15, 2006 on daily basis.

Talking to Nepalnews, country manager of Indian Airlines, Gautam Shah, informed that the flights were withdrawn from 27th March 2005 due to operations problem.

“We are sure that this flight would definitely offer the desired connectivity between India and Nepal,” he added.

The resumption of the flight has come at a time when airlines flying in the Indo-Nepal sector are having difficulties meeting the demands due to growing traffic.

The Indian Airlines flight will arrive in Kathmandu at 1420 local time and depart for Varanasi at 1510 local time.

“In the past, the flights used to operate thrice a week, now the flight on the sector has not only been introduced but the frequency has also been increased to 7 days a week,” a press statement issued by the Indian Airlines said. nepalnews.com pb Sep 10 06
