Senior journalist Bhairab Risal has bagged the prestigious Jagadambashree award for the year 2062 BS for his contribution to enrich Nepali language through journalism.
Likewise, Jhapa-based litterateur Krishna Dharabasi has bagged the prestigious Madan Puraskar for his book titled "Radha."
The decision to award Risal and Dharabasi was made by the general convention of the Madan Puraskar Foundation. Both the awards carry cash prize of Rs 200,000.
Journalist Risal has been working for the last fifty years. He has worked in print as well as electronic media.
