Pakistan welcomes formation of interim government

Pakistan has welcomed the formation of interim government inclusive of Maoists in Nepal.

A press release issued by Pakistani Embassy in Kathmandu, “The formation of interim government is an important step towards building sustainable peace, progress and prosperity in Nepal.”

The statement further said that Pakistan respects Nepal’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

“The government of Pakistan will work with the government of Nepal to promote the longstanding ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries,” the statement further said.

Many other countries including Indian, Australia, and Japan among others have also welcomed the formation of interim government.
