Five killed in Banke road mishap
At least five people were killed when a passenger bus collided with a parked truck on the Mahendra Highway in Banke area of Sarlahi district on Saturday.
The Binayak Yatayat bus with number plate Na 2 Kha 7684 heading for Udaypaur's Katari from Kathmandu collided with the truck Na 1 Kha 3223 at around 5 a.m. The truck was parked at the roadside.
Truck driver Raja Hussain and four passengers including two women were killed on the spot. Some 20 passengers were injured in the incident and six of them are in critical condition. The injured have been taken to Janakpur and Dharan for treatment.
The bus was carrying around 35 people.
In another accident, one person was killed and seven others injured in a bus accident last night in Palpa district. The dead has been identified as Prem Pradhan, the driver of the bus. nepalnews.com ia Apr 14 07
