Four Nepalis killed in Afghan blast

Four Nepalis and an Afghan driver were killed when a roadside bomb hit a United Nations vehicle in the Afghan city of Kandahar on Tuesday.

Quoting an Afghan police official, the Associated Press said the victims were traveling through Kandahar city in a gray vehicle with blue UN license plates when the explosion took place. The four Nepalis were UN security guards.

A UN spokesman in the capital, Kabul, confirmed there had been an incident involving a UN convoy in Kandahar, but provided no details, the report said.
Identity of the Nepalis killed in the blast is yet to be disclosed. nepalnews.com mk Apr 17 07
