Ministry to fulfill teacher's demands within three months
Minister for Education and Sports, Pradip Nepal has said that the government will fulfill the demands of teachers teaching at the higher secondary schools within three months.
Addressing the teachers who were organising sit in protest in front of the Education Ministry, minister Nepal said that the government will resolve the issues of teachers within three months after analysing the situation.
Teachers are organising sit-in protest demanding permanent status, appropriate remuneration and provision of four posts equivalent to deputy professors in public higher secondary schools.
Chairman of the higher secondary teachers' association Surendra Thapa said that the ministry is positive towards their demands.
"The minister has assured us of fulfilling our demands," he said, adding, "We hope that it will guarantee facilities of the teachers teaching in higher secondary level." nepalnews.com pb Apr 21 07
