Six killed in separate road mishaps
At least six people were killed and dozens others injured in separate road accidents across the country Saturday morning.
Three passengers were killed and over 40 injured, some of them critically, when a bus met an accident at Dudhrakshya area in Rupandehi district along on the East-West Highway, reports said.
The Na 3 Kha 2288 passenger bus bound for Kathmandu from Salyan plunged into the river after it crashed into the wall of a bridge at around 3 am.
Two of the deceased have been identified as Kumar K.C of Kapan, Kathmandu, and Mohan Lal Sapkota of Nelkuna, Surkhet. The injured passengers have been undergoing treatment at the Lumbini Zonal Hospital.
Likewise, three persons were killed in road accidents in Chitwan and Nawalparasi districts today. Two persons died when a truck fell into Swarkhola in Chitwan early morning today. Two others injured in the accident have been admitted to Bharatpur Hospital.
Similarly, one Megh Nath Aryal of Pragatinagar VDC in Nawalparasi district was killed when his motorbike was hit by a mini-truck this morning. He died while being rushed to hospital. nepalnews.com ia Apr 21 07
