Foreign forces behind delay in CA polls: Neupane
As the blame game is on for the delay in the elections of the constituent assembly, chairman of the All Nepal National Independent Students’ Union-Revolutionary Leknath Neupane has blamed foreign forces for the delay of constituent assembly polls.
Speaking at a press conference in Biratnagar on Saturday, chair of the Maoist affiliated student union, Neupane said, “Several changes took place in the country and several documents have been prepared to expedite the change but they continue to remain on paper only.”
Saying that the MPs have to decide the fate of monarchy by declaring a republic, he said, “If announcement of a republic by the parliament were to be illegal, then all the decisions made by the parliament will also be wrong.”
Maoists, which is also part of the interim parliament and the interim government has been warning that it will stage protest for republican set up in the country before the elections of the constituent assembly. nepalnews.com pb Apr 29 07
