Two die in Paanchthar road mishap

Two persons were killed and 11 others injured when a truck slipped off the road and plunged into a gorge at Bharapa area in Paanchthar district Monday morning.

The victims have been identified as Khagendra Mainali, 50, and his wife. The ill-fated truck was heading to Birtamod of Jhapa from Gopetar, Paanchthar, reports said.

The injured persons have been undergoing treatment at the district hospital in Phidim. The condition of four of them is said to be critical. nepalnews.com mk Apr 30 09
