JTMM-J kills another civilian in Saptari
In yet another instance of Madheshi armed groups targeting on hill-origin people living in Terai, the Jwala Singh led Janatantrik Terai Mukti Morcha (JTMM-J) has killed a local trader two days after abducting him from Sitapur of Saptari district.
The dead body of Mohan Gautam, who earned his livelihood running a small business in the area, was found near the banks of Mahauli River, Saptari, at 3:00 this morning, according to police.
JTMM_J’s district commander Kailash claimed responsibility of murdering Gautam, but the motive behind the killing was not known immediately. Jwala Singh in his recent interviews had been given expressing statements against hill-origin people in Terai.
Meanwhile,the agitating Chure Bhawar Ekta Samaj, which has been very vocal in its criticism of the killing of people of hill-origin in Terai by Madheshi armed groups, has expressed sadness over Gautam’s death and demanded that the guilty be brought to book immediately. nepalnews.com ag Aug 06 07
