Nepal Sadbhawana Party (Anandi Devi) has called back its minister Rajendra Mahato from the coalition cabinet.
In a statement Monday, party president Anandi Devi Singh said Mahato had been recalled as he failed to work in the interest of the Madhesi people. She said her party’s candidate in the government could not do anything in institutionalising the achievements of the recent movement of Madhesi people.
Singh also wrote a letter to Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala informing him about the party's decision to recall Mahato from the government.
Industry, Commerce and Supplies minister Mahato is the sole candidate of NSP (A) in the eight-party cabinet.
NSP (A), however, expressed commitment to remain an ally of the eight-party alliance. nepalnews.com mk Aug 06 07
