NSU to hold protest rally on Thursday
Nepal Students Union (NSU) has decided to launch protest rallies on Thursday against the attacks by pro-Maoist students and YCL cadres.
President of Nepali Congress (NC)-affiliated NSU, Pradeep Poudel, said that the actions by the Maoist organisations had destroyed the environment of cooperation and alliance among like minded democratic republican forces.
Addressing a press meet, Wednesday, Poudel said the NSU will be calling the Maoist students and YCL to transform themselves. The NSU has concluded that recent attacks by pro-Maoist students were not in keeping with the spirit of last year's Jana Andolan.
"We urge them to abandon the arrogance of weapons and transform themselves," Poudel said. nepalnews.com sd Aug 15 07
