Half a dozen die of floods in different parts
The resumption of torrential monsoon rainfall has triggered another wave of flashfloods and landslides across the country killing at least half a dozen persons.
In Banke and Bardiya districts, at least 400 families have been displaced. Nepalgunj city is once again waterlogged.
A person has been swept away by swollen Kamala river in Dhanusha district. Likewise, in Bankatwa area of Bardiya district, another person has been swept away by flood while the swollen Mahakali has claimed the life of Chandra Man Rokka, 14 in the far west.
Two sisters Urmila Shahi and Nanda Shahi have been swept away by swollen Mungraha river in Kalikot district while two boys Uddhav Bohara and Padam Bohara are missing since they were swept away by landslide in Rithhapaura of Darchula district.
