Three more killed in floods; NA intensifies relief efforts
Three more people have been killed due to floods in different parts of the country.
One person was swept away by Kamala river in Dhanusha district while another kid was swept away in Mahottari district even as a man named Chandra Bamjan was swept to death by swollen Manahari river in Makwanpur district, say reports on Friday.
Bara, Parsa and Rautahat district continue to be affected by inundation. In Itahara of Morang district, three persons have died of snake bites.
Meanwhile, a press statement by Nepali Army (NA) has said that the army rescue team provided medical service/treatment to 9067 persons in different districts. In the wake of floods, people in many districts are facing outbreaks of various diseases.
The NA medical team provided its service in Dhanusha, Mahottari, Sarlahi, Rautahat, Banke and Bardiya districts. nepalnews.com sd Aug 1 7 07
