Parliament's budget session to be prorogued on Monday

The ongoing budget session of the parliament is going to be prorogued on Monday.

Speaker Subas Nemwang told media after his meeting with Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala, on Saturday morning, that the session of the legislature-parliament will be prorogued within 'two to three days.'

"We have enacted all legislations necessary for the holding of Constituent Assembly elections. There are only one or two pieces of legislations pending at the parliament. We will prorogue the session after passing them shortly," Nemwang said.

He also added that the end of the session will allow the lawmakers to fan out across the country up to districts and villages to create environment conducive for the election. nepalnews.com sd Aug 18 07
