French provide aid for flood victims

The French government has also come up with relief aid for the victims of floods in the country.

The French Embassy in Kathmandu has informed that the French government will support the Nepal Red Cross Society (NRCS) to help flood victims with the aid amount of Euro 30,000.

"These assistance will be directly supplied by the French Embassy in Nepal, to the Nepal Red Cross Society, to help in its relief operations in the affected areas," states a press release by the Embassy.

"It will enable Nepal Red Cross Society to supply support for construction of individual houses, to distribute agriculture inputs (seeds and local tools) for recovery process, to clean and renovate community water sources, and to promote health activities as well as small scale risk reduction activities," the release adds. nepalnews.com sd Aug 24 07
