HBC FM resumes operation
Almost after three weeks of closure, HBC 94 FM has resumed its operation from Tuesday 6 p.m.
In response to this, the agitating Republican Radio Workers' Forum (RRWF) denounced the unilateral decision of FM management.
The RRWF said the management refused to sit for dialogue with the journalists to address the demands they made. As the journalists still continue to agitate, the radio has removed the hourly news bulletins and many other programmes.
The FM broadcast stopped from August 7 after RRWF padlocked the administration office to pressurise management to meet their demands that include appointment letters, perks and facilities. The padlocking ended after 10 days on the advice of the Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ). nepalnews.com ia Aug 29 07
