Maoists stick with full PR demand
The meeting of the central secretariat of the Maoists held on Sunday morning has decided to stick with its demand for fully proportional representation based election system.
According to a report by Nepal FM, Maoist leader Ananta has said that there has been no understanding with other parties regarding the election system.
He hinted that the Maoists will now proceed after receiving suggestion from the gathering of civil society representatives.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala also met with his senior party colleagues on Sunday morning to discuss about the evolving understanding among the seven parties and the party's position at the civil society gathering.
The civil society gathering is taking place in Kopundole to discuss the 20 point understanding reached by NC, UML and Maoist leaders on Saturday. nepalnews.com sd Dec 23 07
